I have not received any compensation for this review. I am writing this review in response to a customer complaint I filed with the company, and I am following up on my experiences with the company's customer service and products.
About 3 weeks ago Hubby and I decided to try out the Buitoni Premium Frozen Meals For Two. Our first experience was a rather bad one. We purchased the Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli meal only to discover the wrong ingredients had been packaged in the box. I ranted about the experience on my personal blog, included photos, and I sent a copy to Buitoni.
I was extremely pleased when I received a call from Buitoni the very next morning trying to rectify the situation. The customer service was quick and our issue was resolved in a very timely manor. The consumer services rep got more information from me to send directly to the manufacturer's quality control department, then she immediately issued a coupon packet to be sent to me. I received the packet last week which contained 4 coupons and a written apology. Two coupons were for free product, and 2 were for $1.50 off. Hubby and I decided to use one of the free coupons the next day when we did out grocery shopping, so we picked up another Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli Premium Frozen Meal.
I'm very happy to report our second experience with these frozen meals was a good one. We prepared the meal in about 5 minutes, and we absolutely loved it. The product was just as it is advertised, and we have absolutely no complaints. The meal for two was plenty to feed both of us, and I even had enough left over for dinner the next day. Hubby and I both agreed we will definitely purchase this frozen dinner kit again, and we thank Buitoni for making things right.

Candle Buzz Box April 2008
My Candle Buzz Out Of The Box sampler box arrived today! I've been waiting for this one because I knew it would be jam packed full of tons of great goodies. I will be reviewing each and every item in this box, and although it might take me a couple weeks to get through them, I promise I've already taken all the photos this time. You won't have to wait around for my crappy camera to work it's magic.
The box is absolutely jam packed this month! Ignore the yellow stuff that seems to be floating to the side of the photo. I needed Hubby to hold the calendar in place, and he wanted to cover his hand so it didn't take away from the box lol!

I know I've complained before about how I was getting tired of seeing fliers from companies without products (after all people are paying to receive these samples), but I didn't have any of that in this box! I was quite happy to see it since it's becoming a very negative aspect of a few of the other sample boxes out there for sale.
I've said before, and I'll say it again. The Candle Buzz boxes are my favorite of all the sample boxes. A majority of the samples are full size products, and I get a good mix of stuff. As much as I love bath & body stuff, candles and tarts have my heart. With a Hubby who comes home from work with really stinky feet and two pets in the house, I want my house to smell good!
Now there's an Out Of The Box Sampler Blog where you can read reviews of some of these awesome products, participate in little games to win coupons, and get to know Dawn, the woman who puts these wonderful boxes together for us! Stop by and check out the blog while I work on my reviews for you guys!

A Note To E-Tailers
After a little research I figured out where this sample of Goat's Milk Mango Bath Soak came from. It came from Just Peachy Candles and Soaps. The problem is I was a sent a sample of something amazing, but it's something I can't order.
Why? If you happen to click on the link above you will see the site is under construction.
I have a box I keep all of my bath and body related business cards in. When I receive a product and a card I write the name of the product on the card, and I keep it in the box if I liked it. If I don't like it, I put the card in my "see what else they have" section.
I found the business card for Just Peachy, and sure enough I'd written the Mango Bath Soak down on the card, but I'd also underlined the website with a note saying "dead link".
Now this is one of my samples that came from one of my LBB's or maybe a Candle Buzz Box. This leads me to another rant. Don't send me a product sample and a business card with the website to order more if your website doesn't work! This isn't the case of the e-tailer going out of business after the products were sent. This is an e-tailer who sent the products, but never finished setting up their web store. Did it really do you any good to send out all those samples if you don't have a website where we can order them?
Think of the potential customers that have been lost, me being one of them. I loved this product, but that's one thing I'll cross of my "to buy" list. The product itself is so good that I would probably add it to my "best buy" list if the price was decent, but instead it's something that will end up forgotten. Another product from another e-tailer will take it's place.

Totally NOT Happy
I've tried to refrain from using the name of the company that hosts our server because I didn't want to call them out right now. Unfortunately they've just totally pissed me off beyond the point where I can kiss and make nice right now. I've already told you both my friend and I have been trying to find out why our 2 servers have been down since Friday. We haven't been able to get a straight answer out of anyone from 1 & 1. I hate freaking' outsourcing. I can't even get anyone who speaks good enough English to understand me asking to speak to someone who speaks fluent American English.
We're not the only ones experiencing problems either. 3 other friends who also host servers with the same problems have had problems this weekend although none of them have experienced full downtime.
We finally figured out some of what was going on today, and we were told at 3:30 that our servers would be back up within 45 minutes to an hour. That never happened. After a few hours we checked out account to see that now it says we were suspended for non payment. That never happened either. Our monthly payment cleared last week. That was at 7:30pm. The billing department closes at 5pm EST, so we have no way to contact them now.
At 10:30 pm we logged in to update payment information to another card. We decided we would pay a month ahead, and maybe that would fix the situation. Nope. Every card we tried (3 in total) was denied even though none of them have any balances. Then we tried the Paypal option. Our business account has plenty of cash in it right now, but that was denied also.
I'm thinking they're having huge billing problems (I'm hoping not a mess up like Dreamhost), and they don't want to admit what's going on. The problem they told us we were having was in no way connected to the billing thing. The billing thing didn't come up until hours later, so why are we having all these problems? Why is the account denying payments from all sources?
I totally have no idea what's going on now. I logged in a few minutes ago to try again, and now it says 1 server is paid and 1 server is pending. I'm seriously not happy with 1 & 1 anymore. We never had problems with them until recently, and I'm extremely close to finding another server provider.

Window Shopping Online
It's warm outside yet again, and you know that means its time to get back outside. I can't even call it warm today. It's going to be 81 degrees! The bike is in the shop, so what do I do? Window shop! Warm weather makes me want to spend money, and I'm on the lookout for a new pair of sunglasses that I can wear everyday, but I need a pair that will fit in my helmet, too. My hubby is also in need of new sunglasses, but his have to be prescription. He had a great pair that disappeared, so I've been looking everywhere today for good prices on prescription sunglasses. My window shopping today gave me a great opportunity for a sponsored post and some shopping at the same time!
I like what OpticsPlanet.com has to offer. They have great prices on both regular Sunglasses and prescription Sunglasses, too. Oh, and they offer free UPS on all orders over $29.95. I think my hubby would look great in the Bolle True Rx Fusion J-Walker Sunglasses and they're a good $100 cheaper than I can get them from the Optometrist. I'm thinking about getting the Ms. Lily Sunglasses. The frames would go great with my motorcycle helmet, plus I just love cool colors like that.

Charter Communications Sucks
I was going to write a review on my cable provider, Charter Communications, about how horrible their customer service, tech support, and general connection issues are, but before I had a chance to write a review here, I started ranting about them on my personal blog, Everyday Randomness. The post started as a rant, but considering if I wrote everything in one post, it would turn into a book about all the problems I've had, I decided to make it a series. If you're a Charter customer, or you're interested in my general dealings with them for maybe future reference, feel free to head over to Everyday Randomness to read the series. I promise by the end of the first post you will already be disgusted with the service!
