I'm in serious need of some advice here guys. My wedding anniversary is coming up in 2 weeks, and I have no idea what to get hubby. I had it all planned out, but because of hubby wreck and our current financial situation dealing with it I can't afford the gift I wanted to get him. We decided to give each other a $25 spending limit. Normally in a situation like this we'd take our whole $50 limit and go to a nice dinner together, but my grandma has already informed me that she's giving us a $50 gift certificate to Outback. She's knows it's hubby's favorite restaurant, so we almost always end up there for the anniversary dinner, but she wanted to make sure we weren't making reservations anywhere else before she had a chance to give it to us.
Hubby's already got my gift which just astounds me. He normally waits until the very last minute to get it, but he's been taunting me all evening with clues. That means either he already bought it, or he knows what he's going to get me and he's getting ahead of himself. Either way it's got to be something good for him to already know what it is. Hubby's the type of guy who takes my sister or his sister shopping with him the day before our anniversary or even last year it was right after work on the evening of.
He knows I don't wear my jewelry, but I did point out a cute necklace and some pretty gold bracelets at Walmart last week. He also knows I'm totally head over heels for anything that smells good, but that's just not hubby's style. Normally he gets me something practical like new sheets that match my new bedspread or a pretty set of glasses that match my china. Normally I can also figure it out in minutes from his hints, but this time I have no clue!
That just makes me all the more desperate to find him something awesome, cheap, and fast! I can't exactly rub hints he'll never guess in his face until I know what I'm getting him! And of course, if it's something I'll have to order I need to do it very soon to make sure it arrives by our anniversary on the 20th.
So, any advice from any of you ladies out there who've experience many years of wedded bliss? How about you guys? What would you want? Somebody throw me a bone!

Well, the laptop is too expensive and he probably has it, so make your bedroom a very nice place to be and surprise him, or when he's more down to earth, give him a nice mug.
I don't understand why people give each other such expensive gifts when they's struggling with money.
I had actually planned to get him the set of Icon motorcycle riding boots he's been wanting (and needing). If he'd had them when he had his accident, he would have most likely walked away without any injuries.
I totally agree that people in financial difficulty shouldn't spend an excessive amount on gifts. We haven't really even given each other gifts for Christmas the past couple of years because of that.
We're finally to a point in our lives where I wanted to be able to give him a nice present this year, but it will have to wait until next year. We've already decided on purchasing new wedding bands for our 5th anniversary.
