Our wedding anniversary is only 2 days away, but I still haven't picked up hubby's gift yet. As usual our anniversary is just falling at the wrong time. It never fails. I just don't have the cash to buy him an awesome gift right now, but if I could buy him something nice I think I would be buying him a new tool chest. See hubby is a general handyman of sorts, and he's got tools for every trade laying around all over the place.
It doesn't help that even though my grandparents built themselves a new house with a huge storage shed, my grandpa still stores most of his tools in our garage. The detached garage was turned into his work shop years ago, so we've got a separate car port. Unfortunately hubby has taken that over with his tools. He's got really horrible plastic shelves sitting under it full of stuff. He's even got a wheel barrel packed full of tools. The things that are too expensive to leave outside are stacked up in boxes in my utility room, and I can't even get out my back door.
I wouldn't mind hubby storing some of his tools inside if they were organized and out of the way. He does have a tool chest, but it's a huge mechanics one that is WAY too big to move. It would be so nice to get him a smaller chest that he can fit the stuff he uses most in...something with wheels that he could roll outside as needed. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until next year.
