I wanted to lighten it to a prettier blonde, but I consider paying for a professional job right up there with getting a colon cleanse, so I took the advice of my hair stylist. She told me the exact color and brand to buy, and assured me the natural red in my hair wouldn't come through the coloring. She was WRONG. My hair came out extremely red, but I have to admit it really looked nice. Click on the picture for a better view, but please ignore the 80s bangs I was sporting...I know it was 2000!
A few years later I started hanging out at clubs with tons of "candy rav

I've had experience with those crappy little Halloween color sprays, and I know they basically flake off everywhere, so I was kind of skeptical when she brought a spray can of Streaks 'N Tips Temporary Highlight Spray in bright red.
This stuff works great! Last night I put a little of it on one strand just to test how bright the color is, and wow, it's bright, but I like it. I went to bed last night and woke up with the stuff still in my hair, and there wasn't a spot of it on my pillow. If I tried that with most other sprays, I'd wake up with my pillow and clothes covered in the color. I decided to wash it out to see how easily it comes out, and that was also a breeze. I'm about to go wash my hair so I can style it, color the tips and take a few photos. We'll see how it turns out!

How did it turn out? Was it stiff looking?
It turned out great, and it wasn't stiff at all. I only use a light amount in my hair because it picks up on the natural red I already have to pull the color out, but out of all the sprays I've tried this one is the best.
