Monday Madness

It's Monday, so it's time for a little madness again. If you want to participate in this meme, pick up your questions over at the Monday Madness meme blog.

1. Where did you go on your last vacation?
I'm trying to remember exactly when our last vacation was! We take trips all the time, but most of them are business related. I think our last vacation was to Hunting Island, South Carolina. It's a quiet state park on a small island downstate.

2. Would you go there again? Why or why not?
Definitely. I love going to Hunting Island. We try to go once every year, but it doesn't always happen. I love camping on the beach, and it's such a nice quiet place. Even at 4th of July when the park is totally packed out, you can still find plenty of private spots to settle down on the beach for the day, and it's just so peaceful. Oh, and the lighthouse is absolutely beautiful.

3. How many vacations do you take in one year?
It all depends on money and how often hubby can get off work. We take a lot of mini weekend trips to Charleston or to the mountains, but I don't consider those vacations. They're just mini weekend getaways that happen once every couple months. It's easy to do when Cherokee, NC is an hour and 1/2 away. Gatlinburg, TN is right at 3 hrs away so we go there a lot.

4. Where would you REALLY like to go on your next vacation, if money was no issue, and how long would you stay?
I want to go to Europe. I would definitely take a month to visit everywhere I want to go, but I would definitely take the time to visit Amsterdam, Italy, and Ibiza Spain.

5. Do you put a little money aside each week (or month) to save up for your vacation?
I try to, but it doesn't always happen that way. Normally the cash I put aside is intended for vacations or enjoyment, but we normally have to dip into it for a car breakdown or something else unexpected.
