Hubby and I stopped at a couple yard sales this morning on our way home from breakfast. I absolutely love yard sales, flea markets, and thrift stores because you really can find some great stuff for cheap if you know where to look and what to look for. One of my best friends is expecting a baby, but she's on a tight budget so I picked up a couple nice maternity shirts for her at one yard sale. As soon as I spotted the baby stroller for sale I knew there would probably be a bunch of maternity clothes to choose from.
I also picked up some really nice curtains for the guest room. It's pretty much a mess right now, but I'm definitely trying to get it straightened back up. I've totally neglected it because it's been so long since we've had anyone staying over. Now we've got a friend staying with us for a few months, so I figure he deserves to look at something other than blinds all the time.
A lot of people don't have the time to drive around searching through yard sale junk to find the hidden treasures, so they turn to Ebay, but did you know there are online thrift stores that sell used items for really cheap as well? Right now I'm checking out one I just found called Once In A Blue Moon. I've already found a couple things I'd like to buy, and for the prices of these items I can probably grab them all at once. Of course there's a ton of other places. Even Goodwill has online auctions where you can buy some of their items!
Have you ever shopped at an online thrift store? If you have I'd love to know where so I can check out what they've got to offer!
