What is it? Basically it's a little converter box that allows you to use your Playstation 1 & 2 controllers with your computer games. Your controllers, up to 2 at a time, plug into the converter which runs off USB. This little thing was well worth the $4. I've tested it with both the PS2 controller and the Guitar Hero Guitar Controller. Both controller types worked perfectly.
How does it work? Basically the converter box allows your computer to recognize the controllers as joysticks. You can use your controllers with any PC games that allow the use of joysticks. You just have to set your controller up according to each game. There are programs out there that will allow you to save different profiles for joysticks per game, but I haven't tested this adapter with any of those yet.
It's easy to set up the controller, and only took me about 5 minutes. You just install a joystick driver that comes with the adapter, and most games will automatically recognize the controller as a joystick. The adapter does support Dualshock/Dualshock2, so you will still get the vibration with games that support the feature. Another great feature is that the adapter doesn't require USB 2.0, so you can still use it with older computers that doesn't have it.
I originally purchased the converter so I could use the Guitar Hero controller with Frets On Fire, the free PC version of Guitar Hero, but I've now used it with Battlefield 1942, Battlefield 2, and Lock On Modern Air Combat. This little guy is worth much more to me than $4. Now I don't have to fight with hubby over our joystick, I don't have extra controllers laying around that are PC only, and I can use a controller that I already feel comfortable with!
Now I just need some new Bose speakers so I can rock out to my own music guitar skills on Frets On Fire! Yeah right! I'm not that good yet.

Hello, I recently bought the Super Dual Box Advance for my ps2 guitar. All the buttons work, except the orange button never works. Did this happen to you? If you have any tips, could you email me at jgraham13@gmail.com. Thanks!
I haven't had any problems like this. The only known issue I've encountered is that Player 1 & Player 2 hookups are reversed on some games.
