No More Gambling Online

I learned something very interesting today! Recently the US Government passed legislation that prohibits online gambling from those of us in the US. I personally think this is stupid. We can go to a casino and gamble all we want, but we can't participate in online gambling? This really throws me for a loop since I like to play poker online, and I was seriously thinking about getting into a few cash games, but now I can't. What I think is awesome is that the law did not cover online betting for horse races. It looks like horse racing will be the new online gambling of the future. When racing season begins, there are so many races that there are so many opportunities to win a little cash. I guess the government has decided to ban online gambling because they think it's getting too addictive? The way I see it, if you're going to gamble, you're going to gamble. If they ban poker sites and online casinos, that just means more people will turn to horse race bets.

If we really want to get into how I feel about it, it seems to me like the games average joes like myself want to play are the ones getting banned, but the ones that the "higher class" people participate in are the ones that get to stay. After all, how many politicians and businessman own race horses? Isn't it just a tad bit suspicious?
