My Central Air...Ceiling Fans

In my search for Ceiling fans this morning, I think I have found the perfect addition to our house! As much as I would like to have the same fans in every room, I do think it would end up being a bit too much, so I have decided to keep the ones in the dining room and living room the same. I think I'm going to go with the Horizon Brushed Nickel over at Oceanfan.com. Check out that price! I looked at a very similar fan at Home Depot a few days ago for over double the price! I also like the Plaza Ceiling Fan in Brushed Steel. It would look great in our bedroom. Actually it would look great in the master bedroom, too, and that price is very reasonable.

After looking around on OceanFan.com for a little while, I really wish we did own this house. My hubby and I agreed a couple years ago that when we do eventually build our own house, we will be installing solar panels on our roof. Just out of curiosity I took a few minutes to look at the solar energy systems, and I was blown away by some of the prices...in a good way that is. I've done a little research into solar energy, and my hubby installs solar panels on a lot of the houses he builds, so we know about how much it's going to take on our future home, and the prices on Oceanfan are way cheaper than any of the other places I have looked before. I will definitely be turning to them for my solar energy system when the new house is built. I am a big fan of using solar energy to power your house. If you would like to know how much it would cost you to install solar energy, there's a very handy solar estimator that will tell you just what you need and how much it will cost.

It is really amazing how much you can save in the long run when you build a home with green plans. My father in law just built a new house and he used geothermal energy. It cost more to install, but he is already seeing a huge drop in his heating and cooling bill...it pays out in the long run for sure!!
